The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has announced N33,000 as monthly allowance for corps members.
The NYSC, on its Facebook page yesterday, quoted the DG as announcing this in Bauchi State when he visited corps members at state secretariat. Ibrahim said the new allowance was in line with the implementation of the new National Minimum Wage by the Federal Government. According to him, there has been provision for the new allowance in the year 2020 budget.
He said payment would commence as soon as funds were released by appropriate authorities.
