The International Association of Lions Clubs has urged the Federal Government to revamp the economy to tackle problems of health and hunger in the country which will ease the problems of Nigerians.
The association made this call at the public presentation of Lion Kema Ashibuogwu, District 404B-1 Nigeria in Lagos. The Lions Clubs District 404B1Governor, Kema Ashibuogwu, stated at her public presentation that there was an urgent need for government and all stakeholders to tackle the problems in the country especially in the aspects of health and hunger were its citizens were facing harrowing experiences.
She said, “I want to urge the government to focus on the aspects of hunger and health. The people are hungry and don’t have proper healthcare services when they go to the hospitals. The state of the economy is collapsing but if they can focus on these areas, it will improve the standard of living of Nigerians.
“In Africa we don’t pay enough attention to our environment. As citizens, we have a major role to play. One of the things that Lion Club will be focusing on is ensuring a safe environment.”
